What size skip bin is best for your job?

 
Bathroom & Kitchen Renovations – 3 to 4 cubic metre
Moving House – 4 to 6 cubic metre
Deceased estate – 6 to 9 cubic metre
Concrete & fill removal – 2 to 4 cubic metre
Please note that this is only a guide as all jobs are not the same, however if you have any doubts it is advisable to hire a bin one size up to avoid having to hire another one, alternatively you can contact us for a quote.

What is the maximum level the bin can be filled to?

The skip bin can only be filled to the rim. It is illegal to transport an overflowing bin and the driver may be fined and lose demerit points if caught.
If a skip bin is over loaded the customer will be given the option of hiring another bin or the overloaded waste will be removed and placed in a neat pile next to the bin.

What happens if the bin is overfilled by a passer by?

You as the customer are responsible for what goes in the bin, therefore you, the customer will be responsible for any additional charges that may occur.

Can asbestos be put in a skip?

NO, asbestos can NOT be put in a skip as we are not a licensed asbestos remover.
If asbestos is found in a skip when unloaded, authorities will be contacted to have it removed and all charges incurred with this process will be forwarded on the the customer for immediate payment.

Where can the skip be placed?

Skip bins must be placed on the customers property were adequate space and access is available.
Skip bins can not be placed on roads or nature strips without council documentation and approval.
Skip bins must not be moved by the customer after delivery as it will cause difficulty on pick up.

How do I get council approval?

Council permits can easily be obtained by calling your local council. This must be done by the customer and you must have the appropriate paperwork before a skip bin can be delivered and left on council property.

Can a skip bin be booked and delivered on the same day?

In most cases “yes”. We can advise you when you call as to whether or not this is possible due to the drivers pre-planned route.

What happens if a skip bin is ordered and can not be placed on the property?

If a skip bin is delivered and the driver can not gain access or the space required is inadequate for placement of the bin, the customer is liable for a call out fee of $50.
Please ensure that access is of adequate size and height for the truck to gain entry and enough space for the placement of the bin ordered.

How can I pay for my bin?

We take payment of cash, credit cards and EFTPOS.
